SOLIDARITY DAY "12 HOURS FOR ASIA" FEBRUARY 2005
Venue: Centre Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB)
Casa Asia , in collaboration with other entities (Barcelona's city council, Generalitat de Catalunya, Agència Catalana de Cooperació al Desenvolupament, NGOs, etc.), organised 12 hours of solidarity for the Tsunami's victims in South East Asia, held at the Centre de Cultura Contemporània in Barcelona.
Our company worked together with a theatre producer, and was in charge of designing all the activities and the technical production needed for the good execution of all the events that took place within the CCCB (musical shows, stands for different NGOs, theatre plays, leisure libraries, an area for meditation and reflection, a massage race, etc.) as well as the audiovisual staging, lighting and audio...
We contacted all the guest artists who took part in the event (fashionable actors and actresses, singers, musicians, "castellers", "bastoners", a hip-hop group, theatre companies, photographic exhibitions...).
The main goal was to raise money for the victims of the Tsunami in South East Asia through the presence of the NGOs' stands, creating a merry atmosphere for families, friends... and all those who spent the day with us in Barcelona. The event was a success, with live connections throughout the day with regional and national TV channels and radio stations .
